At the end of January, both our Afterschool Clubs learnt about The Butterfly Project which aims to raise awareness of all the children that died during the Holocaust. The older groups learnt a bit about the Holocaust and all the groups decorated their own butterfly, each one to represent a child that died.
Congratulations to our wonderful clients who completed our first ever 'Paths to Safe Employment' programme today! They have blown us away with their willingness to learn, be challenged and in their support for one another. New friendships forged and four individuals more equipped to understand their rights and integrate well into their community. ... See MoreSee Less
*LAST MINUTE GIVING IDEA* In this, the last 7 days before Christmas, we want to keep encouraging you to #lookcloser; at the gifts you are buying for friends and family, at the way our consumer culture threatens the lives of those most vulnerable around the world and to offer you the opportunity to give the gift of freedom this year.
Maybe you'd like to give a gift this year that will have a lasting impact, a life-changing reward. Maybe you'd like to invest in something that helps people feel safe, more resilient and cared for?
In these 7 days leading up to Christmas 2018 we are looking for 21 families or individuals who want to give the gift of freedom to our clients this Christmas by supporting Freedom Acts on a regular basis. Just £10/20 a month would help us to make a huge difference in 2019.
The amazing Ruth Weir Poetry wrote and recorded this spoken word piece for us that sums up what Freedom Acts is all about - to encourage you to #lookcloser and join in our work with your own 'freedom act'.
